SEASONED vocalist Muhidin Maalim Gurumo and his Msondo Ngoma Music Band will tomorrow give their fans an ideal Idd el-Haj gift -- a new song.
Titled 'Riziki ni Pato Langu', the track is one of the songs off their new album to be launched early next year.
The band's manager, Said Kibiriti, said yesterday that they will officially introduce the song to their fans tomorrow.
He said the song was a social commentary on various challenges faced by Tanzanians.
“It is a special gift to our fans. It's one of the songs in our new album to be launched next year,” he said.
“I am optimistic our fans will enjoy the song, which talks about experiences faced by the poor,” he said, adding that it has been composed by Edmund Sanga.
Edmund, who rejoined Msondo Ngoma two months ago or so after a brief stint with their bitter foes Orchestra Mlimani Park, is one of the best vocalists in the country at the moment.
Some of the songs he has composed so far include 'Ndoa ya Manyanyaso' and 'Cheo ni Dhamana' which have been enjoying lots of air play on local radio stations in the past two months.
